I too thought of the contra code right off the bat...but of course it is the most famous code out there even though I called it the contra code instead of the Konami Code.
Anyway I used to use cheats when I was younger when I rented games. My thought was I was only going to play it for a few days so why not have fun and get through the game. Most of the games were crap anyway.
